- AK BLM (1), Yakataga Bridge Replacement, City and Borough of Yakutat, BLM, Glen Allen District, Alaska. THIS SOLICITATION IS OFFERED FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. THIS WORK CONSISTS OF 0.18 miles of Bridge, Grading, and Bridge Demolition. THE PROJECT INCLUDES construction survey and staking; contractor quality control and assurance; construction schedules; clearing and grubbing; Demolition and removal of bridge; Field Office; Vehicle; Housing and Meals for Government Personnel; 175 LNFT Soil Erosion Control Devices; 650 CY Excavation and Embankment; 1,750 CY Riprap; 1,700 LNFT Driven Piles; 490 FT Pre-Fabricated Steel Bridge; Temporary traffic control including two barricades and two Signs; and other smaller items of work. PROJECT IS LOCATED approximately 100 miles S.E. of Cordova, Alaska. Work shall be completed by October 30, 2006. Estimated PRICE RANGE is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOTs Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
