- The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with National Rural Recruitment and Retention Network, 2536 Kendall Street, Madison WI 53705. The purpose of the contract is to improve the recruitment and retention of health professionals in rural, underserved areas through support of the National Rural Recruitment and Retention Network (3RNet). 3R Net is the only corporation nationally that focuses on recruitment services of health professionals to underserved rural and frontier communities. By maintaining a proprietary, current data base of thousands of small rural communities and their recruitment needs, 3R Net maintains the only list of J1 Visa Waiver physicians looking for rural practice sites. Only 3R Net members have access to the ?Practice Sites Recruitment? software provided by the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) which matches primary care physicians with underserved rural communities. It addition to their name recognition in rural health communities, 3R Net is a not for profit corporation with dues paying members in 43 states.***The anticipated period of performance for this contract is one base year with 2 option years from the effective date of the contract, subject to the availability of funding. The statutory authority is 41USC 254 (c)(1), only one responsible source, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared by the Government. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive proposals.
