- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to install a radome structure on an existing satellite antenna located at 2222 WEST 2300 South in Salt Lake City, Utah. The building site is leased by the US Forest Service and is owned by a private real estate firm. The work will involve relocating an existing satellite antenna on a third floor penthouse of the "GSTC" building. The penthouse is accessed from a ladder and roof hatch located on the second floor of the building. The existing radar dish is installed on 2 steel beams on top of the penthouse. The penthouse structure is concrete masonry with steel joists, decking and a built up roof with gravel ballast. Electrical power and communications with the 2nd floor of the structure are obtained by a weatherproof conduit to the second floor. The bid item includes all work shown on the plans and noted in the drawings. The contractor shall provide all work and materials for the fabrication and installation of steel beams, connections, angles, bolts, painting, an coatings. The contractor shall provide and install a radome structure to meet the requirement of the contract documents and antenna operational specifications. The connections will require installing anchor in the concrete masonry structure of the exisitng building. The contract shall provide and install electrical components as required to supply power, lights, lightningn protection , and communications lines to the satellite dish.
