- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to correct and clarify combined synopsis/solicitation USTDA-05-Q-41-288 for data backup/restore services. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) vice Request for Proposal (RFP). All references of ?Request for Proposal? and ?RFP? should be changed to Request for Quotation or RFQ. Paragraph 4.2 remains unchanged as written except the following sentence is added, ?Data shall be stored compressed.? Paragraph 4.3 remains unchanged as written except the following sentence is added, ?Data shall be stored encrypted.? Paragraph 4.4 remains unchanged as written except the following sentence is added, ?Data shall be stored throughout a seven (7) year period unless otherwise specified by USTDA.? Paragraph 5.1.3. The paragraph is removed. Insert in Paragraph 5.1.3. the following, ?Server data backups (including the email server) shall occur no less frequently than every eight (8) hours but preferably on a live basis. Vendors should submit quotations for backup on: (1) a live basis; (2) every two (2) hours; and, (3) every eight (8) hours. USTDA estimates a current service usage of 53 gigabytes with potential increases of 10 gigabytes per year.? Paragraph L.5(c) (new) Offerors may submit more than one quotation. While adherence to the quotation schedule format is preferred, catalog pricing for storage usage per month, frequency of backup pricing or other variables should be clear to the evaluator where to apply the price variable and extended pricing. The Government reserves the right to select the most advantageous variation offering the Government the best value. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
