Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for the Tule/South Graves and Parks Stewardship Project, encompassing fuels management services in Northern California to accomplish the following: The purpose of this contract is to provide services for juniper reduction/removal. It is the intention of the BLM to complete this project in the most cost effective manner. In areas where it is not economically feasible to utilize the juniper for biomass, the juniper may be cut and left on site. Within some of the cutting units mechanized harvesting will be the only option. All merchantable material to be removed will be purchased from the Government and paid for at the total offer values shown through either application of Conservation Credits earned or cash deposit. The contractor shall develop and submit a Treatment Plan and Schedule to accomplish the project objectives and organize and direct all of the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The Treatment Plan and Schedule will be agreed upon by both parties and incorporated into the contract. All changes to the Treatment Plan will be agreed to prior to the changes taking effect. The period of performance will begin on or about October 15, 2005 and continue for no more than 3 years. This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS 115310. This solicitation will be available on or about July 27, 2005. A site visit has been scheduled for August 17th at 10:00 A.M. Participants will meet at the BLM office, 708 West 12th St, Alturas, California 96101. Potential offerors are to provide their own transportation at no cost to the Government. The Government assumes no liability on behalf of offerors attending the site visit. Offerors intending to attend the site visit tour shall contact Peter Hall (530) 233-7928 at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise him of the firm's name and number of persons that will attend. Potential offerors may obtain a copy of the solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided.
