- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will award a contract to furnish and install INTELLIKEY locking system. The contract includes furnishing and installing Intellikey locking systems at up to twelve (12) U.S. Army Reserve Centers in New England. Insta llation will require removing all existing hardware necessary for installation of the new locking systems. The majority of the products required are to be Intellikey. Products not specified as Intellikey may be substituted as long as they are compatible with the Intellikey parts. Intelligent keys by Intellikey have a minimum of 16K bits of non-volatile user memory and carry the person identity data and access information of the authorized user. Intelligent keys are equipped with a microprocessor capab le of bi-directional communication with each cylinder/controller in which it is inserted via an infrared communication link. The facilities where Intellikey locking systems are required are located in the following towns/cities: Brockton, MA (2), Auburn , ME (2), Dexter, ME, Pittsfield, MA, Saco, ME, Danvers, MA, Granby, MA, Narragansett, RI, Taunton, MA, and Roslindale, MA. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business firms. The solicitation shall be made available via the Internet on or about 7/28/05. No paper copies of the solicitation or any amendments subsequently issued will be available. Prospective Small Bu siness bidders are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive the solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at (http://www.nae.usace.army.mil) as well as the media by which the solicitation will b e made available. Neither telephonic, mailed nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the New Eng land District. All responsible Small Business sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by the New England District.
