- This synopsis is issued for informational and planning purposes only. The Air Mobility Command (AMC), Contracting Flight is in the process of conducting market research to determine if commercial capbility exist to provide Sybase database maintenance support, Sybase security activities, and all Sybase related products required to support the Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) Program Management Office. The contractor shall provide data base administrator (DBA) support for Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE), Adaptive Server Enterprise High Availability (ASE H/A), Intelligent Query (IQ) Data Warehouse and Replication Server support for UNIX, NT, Sun, Solaris, and Powerbuilder platforms. The contractor shall assist the Government in the collection of primary server metrics and other performance data to enable performance monitoring. The service provider shall assist in the establishment of standards and generation of monthly and yearly trend analysis reports utilizing the performance data collected. The contractor shall conduct and complete analyses of the current and future Sybase database products for purposes of determining application and integration/interoperability with GATES components and functionality. The contractor shall provide and participate in systems analyses and design to maintain current functionality and to infuse emerging technologies into the GATES program. The contractor shall provide Government personnel with formal and informal technical training. Sybase Certified Consultants will conduct on-site, in-house Product Knowledge Transfer Sessions as requested by AMC. These sessions are expected to cover such things as architectural design and system analysis. The service provider shall develop and maintain documentation and continuity manuals to facilitate standard operating procedures, and maintenance and training by the Government personnel. Contractor personnel shall provide "Non-Duty Hour Support" on a 7 days a week, 24 hours per day basis. A draft Statement of Work (SOW) is included with this notice that provides further details regarding the work to be accomplished. The work is classified under NAICS code 541512. The small business size standard is $21,000. Request interested offerors capable of performing these functions submit a capability statement to the above address on or before 28 July 2005. The capability statement should include: (1) A brief description of the company including history and business size (large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), or woman owned); (2) Description of the supplies and services provided by the company including the Standard Industrial Classification Code(s); and (3) Identify past and present contracts where similar supplies/services have been provided, to include contract number, point of contact with telephone number and company address (including ZIP PLUS FOUR zip code), contract dollar value and type (fixed priced, cost-reimbursable, etc.), brief narrative of what supplies/services are being provided, and payment arrangements. You may also submit a sample of your current commercial contract that identifies your terms and conditions and statement of work. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted, nor for any costs associated with providing the information.
