- LINEAR TRANSLATION STAGE, CONTROLLER, AND BRACKET: Solicitation number is FA8601-05-T-0186. The proposed contract is for the purchase of a Bracket, ILS, Mid-Size Stage (Model No. EQ-120); a 2-Axis Controller, Display, IEEE, Model ESP300-11N111; and 2 each Translation Stages 250 MM, Model No ILS250PP. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Newport Corp., of Irvine, CA. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
