- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source justification to the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc. (IWLA) for a Co-Sponsorship to conduct the webcast series on Low Impact Develop (LID) techniques for Transportation Stormwater Management. The webcast will be consistent with an overall theme of conserving habitats through land management decisions and project alternative selection. Additionally, the webcasts will discuss land-use management for water quality and wetland conservation. Each of the targeted webcasts would begin with a brief introduction of the importance of stormwater management to water quality and the advantages of LID techniques. IWLA developed and will present the extension to include transportation focus in addition to providing funding, facilitators, conference space, and coordination efforts for their conference. IWLA is the only known source for this conference. This is Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is August 4, 2005.
