- This pre solicitation notice serves to express the Forest Service?s intention to award a firm fixed price contract, competitively. The contract will be for removing and disposing of an existing 12 foot x 20 foot treated timber bridge including wing walls, and abutments. It also includes structure excavation; furnishing and installing 18-foot wide by 21.67-foot long precast concrete box culvert and wingwalls; furnishing and placing riprap; backfill; providing the associated soil erosion and pollution control; aggregate surfacing; road template reconstruction; waste material disposal; providing and installing construction signs; and clean-up and engineering required for the project. Project is located in the Montpelier Ranger District, Caribou-Targhee N.F., Bear Lake County, Idaho. No site visit for interested quoters is planned. Solicitation for this project shall be posted on the web at this site on or about 15 days from today. Work is estimated to start September 19, 2005. The period of performance will be 90 calendar days. The solicitation shall not be restricted to small business. Quotes shall be due Tuesday, September 6, 2005, 3:00 p.m. MST. Plans are available for inspection without charge at 1405 Hollipark Drive, Idaho Falls, ID 83401. All responsible vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and have proper bonding capability before being eligible to submit a quote under this solicitation.
