- Description
- The government is contemplating a FIXED PRICE Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite- Quantity (IDIQ) type of contract to fulfill roofing repair requirements at Langley AFB, VA. Historically, this requirement has been unrestricted based on local market conditions and estimated performance requirements. This type of contract will be used since exact time and quantity of repairs are not known at the time of award. The contract will provide a minimum guarantee ($5,000) and roof repairs will be ordered on an as-needed basis up to maximum ceiling over the duration of the contract period. Ordering of roof repairs after the requirements materialize allows flexibility in both quantities and delivery scheduling. We are conducting market research to determine capability for competition under the following programs: 8(a) , Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business , and/or Hub Zone participation. Interested 8 (a) firms must have an office located in the SBA-Mid-Atlantic Region . All others must have an office within 100 miles of Langley AFB to meet the emergency response requirement. This roofing requirement is considered a specialized trade requiring firms to be capable of performing at least 25% of the actual roofing work; however, performance capabilities beyond 25% will render greater consideration based on past performance criteria in the upcoming solicitation. Interested firms eligible by programs identified above and capable of fulfilling performance and response requirements on an as-needed basis, shall respond to this modified synopsis for consideration. Previous responses will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 238160. Respond to the POC below with capabilities statements that include a list of current and previous roofing contracts (within the last three (3) years), their location, magnitude, and points of contact, not later than 22 March 2005. All documents associated with this requirement will be posted on the FedBizOpps website www.eps.gov.
