- Description
- The intention of this solicitation is to obtain solid waste collection and disposal services at the Environmental Protection Agency, Ecosystem Research Division (ERD), Athens, Georgia. Locations included are: 1) Main Laboratory at 960 College Station Road; 2) ERD Daycare facility at 960 College Station Road; and 3) the Field Research Annex at 625 Bailey Street. by means of a firm fixed-price contract. Period of performance will be a 12 month period from 1 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to collect and dispose of solid waste, including the collection and disposal of garbage, debris, rubbish, recyclables, and other discarded solid wastes resulting from residential, industrial, commercial, and community activities. Excluded from this function is collection and disposal of: (1) hazardous wastes, (2) solids or dissolved materials in domestic sewage, (3) other pollutants in water resources such as silt and dissolved or suspended solids, and (4) infectious/medical wastes. Contractor is responsible for furnishing all containers for collection and disposal of wastes and recyclable materials. Also, the contractor is responsible for ensuring that the containers are in good operating condition, i.e. all doors and lids fit and work properly. Solicitation is attached.
