- The U.S. Army RDECOM-ARDEC has a requirement for the following: Twenty (20) Converted M2HB (Enhanced) 12.7mm Machine Gun Barrels, Five (5) New or Converted M2HB (Enhanced) 12.7mm Machine Gun Barrel Extensions, Two (2) sets of various M2HB (Enhanced) 12.7mm Machine Gun headspace/timing gauges, and ancillary contractor support services. The M2HB (Enhanced) 12.7mm Machine Gun provides new features and design improvements to existing M2HB technology, such as the quick-change barrel system and Flash Hider. The issuance of a purchase order to General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products (GDATP), Burlington, Vermont is anticipated on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis, in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii).
