- Provide Professional A/E Services for Project #692-06-102, entitled "Seismic Strengthen Boiler Plant and Generators, Building 232" at the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics, White City, Oregon. Project involves general construction work, structural, electrical, plumbing, and asbestos removal and certain other items. Description of work: The Boiler Plant, Building 232, has been identified as an extremely high seismic risk. The Boiler Plant building is a 9,031 sq. foot building. This project will upgrade the boiler plant structure to meet current VA seismic requirements. All mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems shall also be evaluated and supported as necessary to meet seismic bracing requirements. The emergency generators will also require stabilization, which will be accomplished under this project. Services will include Phase I involving the preliminary investigative services and concept design; Phase II involving the preparation of construction contract drawings and specifications for construction bidding purposes, with electronic format submission after completion of Phase II; and Phase III will be for construction period services during actual construction work. Evaluation factors to be considered will be (1) Specialized experience of the firm with similar contracts; (2) Past record of performance on similar contracts; (3) Geographical location and facilities of the working office; (4) Specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to this project. Estimated construction cost range is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. NAICS: 541310/Size Standard $4.0 million. This is a small business set aside for firms located within the State of Oregon. Firms interested and desiring consideration shall submit Standard Form 330 by close of business, August 19, 2005 to the Contracting Officer shown above. Award is pending availability of funds. This is not an RFP.
