Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for a 10 year water and sewer utility service contract at the Federal Correctional Institution to be located near the City of Welch, McDowell County, West Virginia to service the various components of the Institution operations. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS code is 221310 for water service and 221320 for Sewer Service (Size Standard: $6.0 Million Revenues). This sources sought synopsis is for the purpose of conducting market research to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. Please submit capability statements and evidence of state or local authority to provide public utilities (i.e. water and sewer). All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate a respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The contractor shall provide water service to accommodate an estimated average daily water demand of 300,000 gallons. In addition, the contractor will be required to reserve in their wastewater treatment systems adequate capacity to accept and treat an estimated average daily discharge flow of 255,000 gallons. The contractor will be responsible for providing and coordinating all services required to deliver the water and sewer service to the designated point of service point. A permanent water and sewer connection shall be available by December 1, 2007. Permanent service commencement date of June 1, 2008 is required. Any resulting contract will be a firm-fixed price contract and shall have a performance period of ten (10) years duration. Point of contact for inquiries and clarifications is: David L.
