Description

This project is an Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Tie Hack Road Surface Stabilization and Road 293 Surface Reconditioning. This project includes stabilization of Forest Road 21 (Tie Hack Road) using calcium chloride (94%) and bentonite in combination. Additional reshaping and compacting of the road will be required. Road 293 shall be reconditioned, removing rocks 4" and larger from the roadbed, to a depth of 6", and a width of 18'. The road lengths are, approximately, 1.8 miles and 1.7 miles, respectively. These roads are located in the Bighorn National Forest, Johnson and Sheridan Counties, Wyoming, approximately 12 miles west of Buffalo, WY, along US 16, to FSR 21, and from Bighorn, WY, up county road 26 (red grade road) approximately 13 miles to FSR 293. This shall be a firm fixed price contract. This project shall be a set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. See Note 27. It is anticipated work shall begin September 2005. Performance period is 45 calendar days. NAICS code is 237310, size standard $28.5 million. This is an electronic solicitation only.
