Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. This amendment to the sources sought notice answers vendor questions: 1) Where is the proposed place of work? Estimate is 66% contractor?s facility and 34% at NUWCDIV Newport with travel to various meetings and on range test support, all to DoD or USN facilities; 2) When do you anticipate issuing the first task order after the contract award? This is intended to be a SEAPORTe Task Order with one option year. Base period would be from date of award through 30 September 2006. Option year is for FY07; 3) Is there currently an incumbent in place? Some of the administrative work has been performed previously under a NUWCDIV Newport IDIQ contract(N66604-02-D-221C) by Systems Resource Management, Inc., Middletown, RI (Task Orders 0028 for $249,976 and 0031 for $32,500); software and engineering support has not been previously obtained. The anticipated contract is intended to address all areas of support required by the SILC and EI programs; 4) What is the anticipated total number of personnel required? Minimum of two full time personnel to a currently estimated maximum of five full time personnel per year and possibly up to six part time personnel. All positions are subject to funding availability. Finalization of the level of effort has not yet occurred.
