Description
Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for engineering support for Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and the modification of 5 Low Band Transmitters (LBT) to be in accordance with the recommendations of the Communications Countermeasures Set (CCS) Comm Sync Working Group Option 9 (addition of a Radio Frequency (RF) Delay line to the LBT Transmitter). NAVAIR intends to issue a sole source modification to BAE Systems, Lansdale, PA. BAE System is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LBT Transmitter, and as such, is the only known source with the engineering expertise, source data, and knowledge to manufacture and test the required spares.
