Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This request is being issued as Request for Quotation #Q1574055A37. The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions enclosed within are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-04. FAR clauses and provision are available through Internet access at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423320 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The following is a description of the requirements for this acquisition: ITEM #0001: 2000 Tons of 3/8 inch washed chip material as per the attached specifications. FOB Destination,Norris Pit, Yellowstone National Park. Delivery is desired by November 7, 2005 but due to unpredictable weather conditions, could be extended until May 15, 2006 as scheduled with the Contracting Officer's Representative on-site. Approximate start date August 15, 2005 subject to award of contract. ITEM #0002: 1000 Tons of 3/8 inch washed chip material as per the attached specifications. This item is an Option Item and may be awarded depending upon availability of funding. Delivery is desired by November 7, 2005 but due to unpredictable weather conditions, could be extended until May 15, 2006 as scheduled with the Contracting Officer's Representative on-site. Approximate start date August 15, 2005 subject to award of contract. DELIVERY LOCATION: Norris Pit, adjacent to the Norris Junction, approximately 28 miles into the park from the North Entrance Station located at Gardiner, Montana.
