- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2 Albuquerque, New Mexico is requesting bids on solicitation number 201815B006 for two separate and distinct projects at Balcones National Wildlife Refuge; as follows: PROJECT1: Furnish all effort and materials to construct a new 2,300 SF wood frame office building, including all site, utility, finish, asphalt parking lot, seed, and re-vegetate. This project is located at Balcones National Wildlife Refuge (New Salem), Marble Falls, Travis County, Texas. The price estimated price magnitude for project 1 is $250,000 to $500,000. The total performance period is expected to be 240 calendar days or less. PROJECT 2: Furnish all effort and materials to rehabilitate old 2,000 SF barn building, work includes: demolish old metal roof, portions of wood framing, and related structural members; and; construct new wood roof system, and new metal roof system, and related miscellaneous. This project is located at Balcones National Wildlife Refuge (Flying X), Marble Falls, Travis County, Texas. The price estimated price magnitude for Project 2 is $1,000 to $25,000. The total performance period is expected to be 30 calendar days or less. The Government reserves the right to award separate contracts each project. Bid evaluation will be on firm fixed price, low bid, responsive and responsible contractor. Evaluation for multiple awards will be in accordance with FAR Clause. The project is solicited unrestricted full and open competition. Both small and large businesses are invited to submit bids. The solicitation is anticipated to be available on or about August 8, 2005. We anticipate a pre bid site investigation to be held the week starting August 22, 2005.
