Description

Operational Contracting, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, intends to award a sole source purchase order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to Wright Medical Technology, Inc., 5677 Airline Road, Arlington, TN 38002. This acquisition is for extremity implants components for hip, arm, elbow and shoulders. This acquisition also includes related instrumentation and professional advisory services to the medical/surgical staff. The Government has determined that in certain instances, as determined on a patient-to-patient medical evaluation system, that Wright Medical Technology implant components provide the best overall outcome to specific patients. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. If a response is not received by 21 July 2005, at 1600 hours, Mountain Time Zone, to the effect that comparable products are available that would be more advantageous to the Government, than obtaining the products through sole source procurement to Wright Medical Technology, Inc., a sole source award will be accomplished to Wright Medical Technology, Inc. A formal solicitation will not be issued prior to contract award.
