Description
The following information is being used to answer questions that were asked during the recent site visit held at the location 15 JUL 05. 1. What are the room sizes? Rm 209 is 17'x18.6' Rm 219 is 26"x19' 2. The cubicle dimension in Rm 209 shall be 10'x10'with the wall color being slate for both rooms, either fabric or hardwall. The cubicle shall have a door that locks. This workstation will require modular walls on all 4 sides as they need storage spaces as required in original solicitation. 3. Wall height shall be between 80 and 85" tall, they do not need to go to the ceiling. 4. Power within the rooms? 209 shall have power on all sides and 2 walls will need to have outlets on both sides of the exposed walls. Rm 219 will not require any power. 5. All items hanging on existing walls will be removed by using organization prior to any installing of furniture. 6. Contractor shall provide at least 2 sets of keys for each door. The cubicle in Rm 219 needs to have a center "D" put in the workstation. This information is to be included and proposed drawings need to be submitted by interested parties to ensure all items are covered. If 3-dimensional drawing are available that would be appreciated to have a better understanding as to what is being proposed. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F2XJA85101A100 is being issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-26, AFAC 2005-0209, AETC FAR Sup 2003-7, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, and Defense Change Notice (DCN) 20050222. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System code is 337210 with a small business size standard of $5.0mil. Line Item 0001: Design, Delivery, and Install 4ea new typical workstations for Officer Training School, Bldg 1487, Rooms 209 & 219, Maxwell Air Force Base, AL 36112. Workstations should consist of the following items: Each workstation will have walls that are approximately 64" high and the workspace area approximately 10' x 8 1/2'. Each workstation should include, but will not be limited to the following items: 2 overhead cabinets, 46-3/4" x 13-1/2", 1 overhead cabinet, 35" x 13-1/2", 2 task lights for under the longer overhead cabinets, 1 ergonomic keyboard tray, 1 pencil drawer, 1 file/file drawer, and 1 box-box-file drawer, door for each workstation with key and lock. Each overhead and cabinet must have a key the will lock each per workstation. A SITE VISIT will be held on 15 JUL 2005 at 1400hrs at the above location.
