- The Federal Correctional Institution, Waseca Minnesota will be issuing a solicitation to obtain general surgery services. The provider will provide fifteen (15) three (3) hour sessions during the contract period. The provider shall deliver services to include, but not limited to, pre and post-operative consultations, minor surgery (such as removal of cysts, lumps, and tissue mass) and biopsies, as requested and authorized by the Clinical Director. The provider will follow standard infection control practices, including the mandates of the concept of Universal Precautions and applicable OSHA guidelines. The provider shall deliver written reports of clinical findings, surgery procedures completed and recommendations for follow-up treatment. The provider shall provide continuing medical education to the Health Services staff as required and scheduled by the Health Services Administrator. The period of performance will be from date of award through September 30, 2006. The anticipated award date will be October 01, 2005 based on the availability of funds. The provider shall furnish a copy of all state licenses, certifications, and/or registrations. The solicitation will be available on or after July 25, 2005, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be avialable. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
