- NOTE: All responses to this IFB shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, P.O. Box 3700, Attn: J5620, Loveland, CO. 80539 3003 Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. This project will be to replace station service switchgear and associated equipment. Work shall be conducted at Western???s Gering Substation, located in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, 69341. All work shall commence within 14 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete all work no later than February 15, 2006. The magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 to $250,000. There will only be one award from this solicitation. Therefore, all Bidders must submit their bids on an "all or none basis". This solicitation will be issued on or about August 3, 2005. Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The closing date is on or about September 6, 2005. This proposed procurement is full and open competition. National American Industry Classification Code is 237130 and the applicable size standard is $28.5 million. The solicitation will be posted electronically at this web site. The specification and drawings will be issued hard copy. Standard Specifications will be issued on CD-ROM. Requests for specifications and drawings must be submitted in writing by faxing 970.461.7377 or by email (gutierre@wapa.gov). Information hours are from 7:00am (MT) to 3:00pm (MT), Monday through Friday.
