- Description
- There are a total of 27 wells to be decommissioned/plugged at various recreation and/or mine sites located throughout the Black Hills National Forest (See Attachments). 13 of the wells to be abandoned currently have hand pumps in place but are not operational. One well, located in the basement of the Hill City Shop, has an old piston type pump in place. The remaining 13 wells have been capped either by a weld plate or by a plate bolted to the casing flange.
