- Defense Supply Center Richmond intends to establish a corporate contract for sole source, part-numbered items supplied by Timken Corporation (Cage 60038) against solicitation SP0400-05-R-3671. The acquisition will be solicited as unrestricted using Other Than Full and Open Competition under 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Currently the acquisition only encompasses 62 NSNs managed by DSCR. There is a potential at a later time to add NSNs managed by DSCR, DSCC and /or DSCP. FSC?s to be covered under this project is 3110. Only Bearings certified as being "Domestic" will be put on contract at this time. Alternate offers must submit a complete technical data package for approval to the owner of the source controlled drawing to become an approved source. An Add & Delete clause will be included in solicitation. Split awards may be made against this solicitation, if in the best interest of the government. The resultant contracts will be Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). The contract(s) will have a twenty four month base period and three twelve-month option periods for total maximum period of performance of 5 years if all options are exercised. Contractors are required to provide pricing for the base period and option periods. Solicitation will open on 11 August and close on 20 September 2005. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil on the issue date cited in the RFP.
