- The following supporting information is added to the item description: The parts to be blasted are miscellaneous pump and valve components (bodies, bonnets, shafts, fasteners, impellers, covers, etc). The base material of these parts shall be Monel, SST, Bronze. The nominal size of the items to be blasted range from a minimum of a 2 inch cube to a maximum component of 42 inches tall, 44 inches diameter. The particles to be removed from the components consist of paint, grease, oil, salt, barnacles, and epoxy coatings. The blast finish desired is the removal of the aforementioned materials without interfering with a machined surface. Glass bead media shall be used. Components are disassembled prior to cleaning. The production rate shall be 12 to 14 hours per day, 6 to 8 complete units (pumps, valves etc) will be processed through the machine (estimate 1.5-2 hours/complete unit). NOTE: Contractors who have submitted offers prior to the release of this amendment, MUST provide written acknowledgement of this amendment and its effect on their original offer. The date and time for receipt of offers is hereby re-established as 06 May 2005, 4:00 PM (Local Time). NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (03-MAY-2005).
