- Pre-Solicitation: This will be a fixed-price, small business set-aside acquisition for twelve (12) each Aircraft Towbar (first article plus eleven (11) additional towbars) applicable to the KC-135 aircraft. First Article will be required to pass testing. NSN: 1730-00-540-5933RN, P/N: F71136-500, Material: steel, Form/Function: The towing and steering bar is used for maneuvering (towing, pushing and steering) KC-135 aircraft. Tech Order: 35B5-20-11. Size/Dimension: Height: 30.5?, Width: 31.5?, Depth: 249.0? long, Pounds: Approx. 600 lb. Destination: TBD. This acquisition will also include 3 annual options with a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 1-5 each per year for AF or FMS requirements. The government is in possession of an adequate data package; therefore, proposals will be accepted from all responsible offerors. The data contains EXPORT CONTROLLED INFORMATION. As a result, the data will not be posted with the solicitation; instead, instructions as to ?how access to the data may be obtained? will be posted with the solicitation. The approximate issue date will be 20 June 2005 with an approximate response date of 20 July 2005.
