- Cultural Inventory and Site Monitoring for Grazing Effects Analysis - 2005 Item 1: The Custer National Forest proposes a cultural resource inventory consisting of 25 range improvement units for a total of 250 acres and heritage site monitoring of 72 previously recorded sites located within the Liscom Butte and Gold grazing allotments in the Ashland District of the Custer National Forest. Item 2: The Custer National Forest proposes a cultural resource inventory consisting of 18 range improvement units for the total of 180 acres and heritage site monitoring of 25 previously recorded sites within the Coleman Draw and Lower Three Mile grazing allotments located in the Ashland District of the Custer National Forest. Item 3: The Custer National Forest proposes a cultural resource inventory consisting of 10 range improvement units for the total of 100 acres and heritage site monitoring of 50 previously recorded sites within the South Lyon allotment located on the Ashland District of the Custer National Forest. The purpose of the inventory is to locate, map and record all heritage resources found within the boundaries of the 10 acre range improvement units, monitor the condition of all previously recorded sites within the allotment boundaries, and obtain an overview of the nature, distribution and value of the cultural resources that may be affected by cattle grazing. Estimate start date July 2005.
