- NSN 7R-1615-01-277-3449-LU, Qty 3504 EA, Deliver to Def Dist Depot Cherrypoint Nc Cherry Point NC --This synopsis is for a Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Contract for CH53 aircraft components.\\The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) intends to negotiate a sole source performance based logistics contract for 10 years with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Stratford, CT., for the following items:\ \NIIN Nomenclature\\01-277-3449 Gearbox Assembly\ 01-277-3480 Gearbox Assembly\ 01-213-2171 Gearbox Assembly\ 01-268-8055 Cylinder Assembly\ 01-334-2933 Gearbox Assembly\01-397-8859 Swashplate Control\ 01-281-3618 Accessory Gearbox\ 01-277-3481 Gearbox Assembly\ \The proposal will be based on the current established PBL support methodology uniquely designed for military program requirements. The scope of this effort includes logistics support, managing repair of repairables, overhaul decisions, and program management as required to meet the usage demands.\ \This performance-based contract is FOB destination.\ \Sikorsky Aircraft is the original equipment manager (OEM) for the specified parts listed above. The items are highly specialized parts, designed and manufactured by a non-government activity and the technical data required for management, repair, and reliability improvement by other than the above is not available. The only non government source that currently has the capability and the technical data is Sikorsky Aircraft and is therefore, the only source that posseses the required technical knowledge, and technical data to perform the work requirements within the time required to meet Navy requirement. Only Sikorsky aircraft will be solicited.
