- The U.S. Geological Survey, Biological Resources Discipline, Western Ecological Research Center (USGS) has a requirement to conduct a study comparing the effectiveness of human teams to that of canine-assisted teams in locating wild desert tortoises in the vicinity of Fort Irwin, CA between 26 September 2005 and 04 November 2005. The USGS is seeking a qualified contractor to provide a human team; canine-assisted teams will be provided by the USGS or other collaborators. As required by FAR 5.102(a), the forthcoming solicitation (number 05WRQQ0155) will be made available through the Governmentwide point of entry (GPE) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 01 August 2005.
