Description: THIS IS A SOLE-SOURCE PROCUREMENT. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, intends to negotiate with Weeks Marine, Inc., on a sole source basis for work that consists of leasing a dustpan dredge to demonstrate effectiveness of the dr edge in a reach of the Atchafalaya Bar Channel that shoals with fluid mud, 'fluff.' The demonstration project is for a dustpan only and will require a minimum pump from the channel of 5,000ft. Demonstration reach extends 8.5 miles offshore. INTERESTED P ERSONS SHALL IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS NO LATER THAN 29 JULY 2005. This notice is published as required by FAR 6.302-1(d)(2).
