Description
It is the Contracting Officer's determination that this requirement for floor covering (DTMA4Q05036) falls into the category of construction contracting under FAR Part 36. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) must be issued instead of a Request For Quote (RFQ). Pricing is to be submitted by sealed bid, instead of email method, as initially requested. The IFB, Statement of Work, will be substantially the same as advertised under this RFQ. If you are interested in receiving an award for flooring replacement you must request the IFB. If interested, at no cost to you, please email this Contracting Officer with your company DUNS number, name, address, phone, fax, tax identification number and name and email address of point of contact used during registration at www.ccr.gov. If your have not registered at www.ccr.gov you should begin the registration process and notify me of the point of contact and email address given as soon as possible. Email request for the IFB are to be received by 7/19/05. The subject line of your email request shall contain the procurement IFB number. The procurement number for the IFB is DTMA4B05036. The number DTMA4Q05036 is no longer applicable. A duplicate notice will be issued under the IFB number to ensure the widest dissemination of this information. Contracting Officer's email address is debbie.velmere@marad.dot.gov. A site visit is not mandatory but is highly suggested. A site visit may be arranged up until 7/19/05 by contacting Esther Harris at (707)745-5604 or by emailing her at esther.harris@marad.dot.gov. The IFB is anticipated to be issued 7/14/05 with a closing date of 7/27/05 at 3:30. Your sealed bid must be received at 201 Mission St, Ste 2200, San Francisco CA by this closing time of 3:30. This action is NOT set-aside for small business. Solicitation is issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program as an unrestricted action. Small Business size determination is $12 million annually. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 238330, SIC 1752. For more information: http://www.sba.gov/size. Department of Labor, Wage Determinations for the county of Solano, CA will be applicable to this procurement. The magnitude of the proposed construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The period of performance is anticipated to begin and complete during the month of August and/or September 2005.
