- Description
- Provide all plant, labor, transportation, and materials necessary to remove existing flooring (including the removal of VAT I VCT, Mastic, Sheet Vinyl, Vinyl Base, Rubber Base, Wood Base, Wood Shoe Molding, Carpet, and Carpet Tiles)(including the removal of any asbestos containing materials) and installing new VCT, Sheet Vinyl, Vinyl Base, Rubber Base, Carpet and Carpet Tiles as required. Any combination of removal and installation will be possible. The National Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 238330, and the size standard is $12.0M. Magnitude of proposed contruction is between $1,000,000. and $5,000,000. This will be a “Requirements Type Contract” for which the Government does not guarantee any minimum amount of work after award. Payment of services will be based on negotiated unit prices for quantities delivered in place in accordance with plans and specifications. The contractor shall be responsible for removal and replacement of furniture and furnishings. Work areas may or may not be occupied during the removal and installation. The contractor will be responsible for coordination of the work with the occupants to minimize the down time to the occupant. The solicitation package will issued on an un-restricted basis in the form of a request for proposal utilizing performance price trade-off (PPT) procedures and will be made available for downloading from the internet Federal Business Opportunities web-site www.fedbizopps.gov on or around 25 Apr 05. Specifications will not be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the internet. It is therefore the contractor’s responsibility to check the above listed web address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Downloading from the internet is free of charge, however, specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. Telephone and fax request will not be accepted.
