Description

Note: This is the same solicitation as SSA-RFQ-02-05-5002 using NAICS 621111. The Social Security Administration, New York Regional Office, seeks a licensed physician to work as an independent contractor reviewing Social Security Disability Claims in the role of Regional Medical Advisor (RMA). The RMA will demonstrate professional administrative/management/leadership skills and experience. The contractor is expected to be available on-site between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Work on weekends is acceptable at certain times. The RMA must agree to work approximately 24-38 hours per week, at least 3 days per week and for 44 weeks of the calendar year. There is no patient contact. Services, as needed, are performed on-site at the Federal Building in Manhattan, NY. Indefinite-quantity contract is for a bease period of approximately 4 months, plus four one-year option periods. The solicitation will be issued on approximately July 13, 2005 and may be downloaded at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation may be requested from the points of contact listed in this announcement. All such requests must be made in writing. This is a 100% small business set-aside, with NAICS codes 621111 and 621112. All responsible individuals and small business concerns may submit an offer which shall be considered.
