- NAICS Code: 541511 EPA is conducting market research to determine if there are small disabled veteran owned businesses that can Perform the following work, entitled: Database Development. Both the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and external researchers are interested in using EPA facility-specific environmental performance data to evaluate policy and regulatory options. In response, a Facility Research Database (FRD) meeting was held at EPA Headquarters on September 3, 2003 that brought together database managers and researchers from within and outside of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to discuss four key areas related to the use and merging of facility-level environmental data for statistical analysis and research: (1) The current status of EPA's efforts to merge data across datasets at the facility level; (2) Challenges faced by researchers in accessing and using these data; (3) Possible ways to improve database access, management, and understanding; and (4) The possibility of creating certain pre-merged databases for researcher use.
