Description
Marine Corps Regional Contracting Office ? Southwest (RCO-SW) is seeking small business sources capable of supplying granular activated carbon (GAC) to be used in an air pollution control system located at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow, California. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified small business sources. The North American Industry Classification System Codes (NAICS) for this procurement is 325998 and the small business size is 500 employees. It is anticipated that this requirement will be acquired in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The following is a general description of the Statement of Work (SOW) for the anticipated contract. This is a turnkey operation. The successful contractor will be required to remove spent carbon, recharge the beds with 100% virgin coconut shell carbon, and transport spent GAC to the contr! actor?s treatment facility for processing is accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.The contract is for a base year with four (4) one year option periods. There are two carbon beds with approximately 26,000 lbs of carbon in each bed. Each bed shall be changed out every six (6) months (in September and March of each year). The responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the government to determine an appropriate acquisition strategy. Small businesses responding to this sources sought synopsis should provide the following: (1) Complete company name, address, CAGE Code, and number of employees (2) Point of contact, phone number and email address, (3) Provide adequate company information to demonstrate your capability to perform the proposed contract, (4) Provide list of similar current and past contracts for GAC. Responses should be no more than ten (10) pages.
