- NOTE 2 Classification codes apply 16 & 20. This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) for planning purposes. This is NOT a Request for Proposal. The intent of this RFI is to assist Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in conducting market research. NAVAIR is requesting information regarding airborne and shipboard Common Data Link (CDL) compliant data links that operate in the Ku frequency band at the 10.71Mbs data rate. Vendors interested in responding to this RFI shall provide a one to two page overview statement addressing the following: 1) Brief statement of interest/capabilities; 2) Any other information at vendor discretion such as catalogs, drawings/illustrations, technical manuals, training description/material, pricing, testing documentation, brochures and/or any other documentation that describes the capabilities, interfaces, and specifications; 3) Respondents should identify any Government and/or commercial customers who have procured CDL hardware and provide customer point of contact, including a telephone number, e-mail address or web site; Responses may be submitted either electronically to the email address provided below or submitted via mail to the address provided below. Responses are requested by 12 August 2005. Earliest possible response is encouraged. Responses will be reviewed and additional information may be requested from individual vendors if desired by the Government. This RFI does not constitute a commitment from the Government. The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any respondant for any data offered in response to this RFI. The Government reserves the right to review and use the data submitted at its own discretion. Upon request, the Government will protect proprietary information from unwanted disclosure.
