Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract to ITT for 310 ALQ-214 (V)2 Radio Frequency (RF) Jammer systems. This effort will consist of the Full Rate Production (FRP) 3 through 8 Follow On Production Contract. The ALQ-214(V)2 Radio Frequency (RF) Jammer was developed as a major subsystem within the Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) Radio Frequency Countermeasures (RFCM) Program. The AN/ALQ-214(V)2 is a self-protection RF Jammer for tactical combat Navy aircraft against RF guided surface-to-air and air-to-air threats. The AN/ALQ-214(V2) subsystems are required for installation into the Navy?s F/A-18E/F. The breakout of units per production lot/year is as follows: FRP 3 (FY06) = 55 units; FRP 4 (FY07) = 51 units; FRP 5 (FY08) = 61 units; FRP 6 (FY09) = 57 units; FRP 7 (FY10) = 53 units; and FRP 8 (FY11) = 53 units. ITT is the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the ALQ-214 and is the only source with the personnel, facilities and knowledge to fulfill this requirement.
