Description: "Rehab Sailors Haven Marina and Replace Ferry Dock," Fire Island National Seashore, Patchogue, New York. Solicitation Number N4500050927. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction of new east and west marina breakwaters constructed of steel sheet piling and timber stringers and decking; new marina bulkhead constructed of steel sheet piling and timber decking; new ferry dock constructed of steel pipe piles and pile cap, and timber stringers, decking and fender system; new east and west perimeter bulkhead constructed of fiberglass sheet piling; and dredging of the inner marina and entrance channel. The NAICS code for this project is 237990 and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. Contract duration is approximately 210 calendar days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement is a Request for Proposals (RFP) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. All prospective offerors are encouraged to visit the site located at Sailors Haven Marina on Fire Island National Seashore. This location is 4 miles across Great South Bay, south of Sayville, NY on Long Island. Project work will be constructed between October and May due to environmental restrictions and re-opening requirements. Nearly all access will be by boat and barge. Land access is very limited, requires permit, and 4x4. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation.
