- The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fourteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government n ot to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement . The purpose of this request is to obtain technical expertise, testing and analysis necessary to assist the Corps of Engineers (COE) in the rehabilitation of Carters Pumped Storage Facility Unit #3, located in North Georgia, approximately 10 miles south of Chatsworth, Georgia on U.S. Highway 411. Responses should be addressed to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, ATTN: CESAM-CT-S, P.O. Box 2288, Mobile, AL 36628-0001 and will be directed to Curtis Stracener, (251)694-3859. Firms interested in being co nsidered shall provide a written statement to show capability to perform and shall include necessary backup information and support documentation. A list of projects of specific performance for these type services shall be provided. List shall include ex act location of project(s) and a point of contact with phone numbers for verification. The Government will not pay for any services provided in response to this synopsis nor return the data provided.
