Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to solicit on an unrestricted basis and award a transformer rehabilitation contract. This shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: 1. Prepare transformer and ancillary equipment for shipment, load transformer on truck, and transport to repair facility. 2. Disassemble, inspect, and test transformer as required to prepare inspection and repair report. Analyze findings and recommend repair method in the report, including estimated costs and schedule. 3. Salvage value of damaged transformer. 4. Perform transformer repairs to include the following: a. Rewind b. Regasketing c. New control cabinet, wiring, and conduit d. New 230kV high-voltage bushing e. New 34.5kV high-voltage neutral bushings f. New 25kV low-voltage bushings g. New nitrogen gas generator oil preservation system h. New winding temperature indicator system i. New oil temperature indicator system j. New magnetic oil level gauge k. New pressure relief device l. New rapid pressure rise relay m. New valves n. Inspect, test, and adjust equipment not being replaced o. Reassembly, cleaning, and painting 5. Prepare for return shipment of transformer to The Dalles power plant, load transformer and ancillary equipment, and transport. Receive transformer and ancillary equipment at The Dalles power plant; offload transformer; inspect and test equipment as req uired; prepare and submit site delivery inspection report; assemble transformer; furnish oil; perform high-vacuum oil filtration and tests; fill transformer with oil under vacuum; and perform field tests.
