- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is soliciting prospective contractors for the Maintenance Dredging of the North Cove Federal navigation channel and anchorage areas. Approximately 150,000 cubic yards of dredged material will be removed mechanically by clamshell bucket, loaded onto scows, and towed to the Cornfield Shoals Disposal Site in Long Island Sound for unconfined open water disposal. The contract will have optional items that would increase the total dredging volume to a total of 250,000 cubic yards. Due to environmental restrictions dredging operations at the project site will only be permitted from October 1 and May 31. The NAICS code for this Procurement is 237990, with a Size Standard of $17.02 million. This solicit ation is issued as a Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated issue date for this procurement is on or about 29 August 2005. Prospective contractors and subcontractors are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive the solic itation.
