Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Agency (ACA), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD has a requirement for 150/50 ton Bridge Crane Runway and Crane Installation for the U.S. Army Test Center (ATC). ATC has procured a 150/50 -ton dual trolley bridge crane to replace the existing 50-ton hoist currently emplaced at the lift and tiedown test site. The bridge crane will be used for proof-loading lifts, helicopter static lifts, and center of gravity (CG) measurement during transportability evaluations. Transportability a ssessment operations use various instrumentation items requiring a protected environment from rain and windy conditions. This requirement will be done in three phases. Phase I for design, Phase II for the runway fabrication and erection and Phase III for the bridge crane installation. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 333923 and the size standard is 500 employees. Solicitation number W91ZLK-05-R-0024 will be posted to the following website (https://acquisition.army.mil.asfi) on or about July 20 2005. The solicitation may be viewed by clicking Contracting Opportunity Search, clicking ACA, Aberdeen Proving Ground, and then clicking on Continue and select the appropriate RFP number. A ward will be made to the lowest price/technically acceptabe offeror. A site visit will be planned approximately 10 days after the release of the solicitation. Due to security concerns pre-registration for the site visit maybe required. Details will be p rovided in the solicitaiton.
