- Description
- The contractor shall furnish to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical & Regional Office Center, Togus, Maine (VAMROC) Board Certified or board eligible/ACLS Certified Physicians to provide Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) coverage for all weekday evenings and nights, all weekends and all federal holidays. In addition, the contractor shall furnish qualified ACLS Certified Physician Extenders (PE) (defined as physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP)) with adequate experience in mental health services that will work under a scope of practice and under the clinical supervision of the MOD. The MOD and Physician Extender must be proficient in written and spoken English and be U.S. citizens. The MOD and Physician Extender will be required to perform the requirements of this contract. They shall also be responsible for providing the specified services in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract, in accordance with VA policies and procedures. The government intends to award a base contract with two option years. The base year shall run from 1 Oct 05 - 30 Sep 06. Numbered Note 29 applies.
