Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Eastman Kodak Company, Health Imaging Division under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement action is to purchase a Kodak Picture Archive and Communication System. This purchase will consist of the Kodak DirectView PACS and the Computed Radiology System. This package includes all the hardware and software required to implement this system at the San Juan VA Medical Center and its two primary satellite clinics (Ponce and Mayaguez). In addition, this purchase will also include project management, installation, configuration, testing and maintenance for the first year after expiration of the initial one-year warranty. This equipment is compatible with the rest of the network at the abovementioned locations which is a critical requirement. Procurement is contingent upon availability of funds. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation package is available. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to these requirements by 3:00 P. M. America/Puerto Rico, July 22, 2005. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
