- Contractor will supply all labor, material, equipment and supervision to reconfigure and renovate emergency department of the VA Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI 02908. Work includes, but is not limited to reconfiguring the existing staff lounge to accommodate the relocated triage room; converting the existing emergency room nurse's office area to a single bed patient care space including medical gas provisions; relocating the MAA office; providing a pass-thru window, security cameras and monitor; converting the existing MAA storage room to a new space to accommodate a new "Pyxis" machine; modifying the existing work surface counter in the emergency room to attain required aisle clearance; and modifying existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems effected by the new work. Contract includes stringent dust control measures to conform to "Class 3" infection control standards. Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Contract is open for full and open competition. NAICS Code 236220 applies (size standard is $23 million). The estimated construction price range is between $100K and $250K. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about July 29, 2005. Bid Opening date is scheduled for August 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. The date and time of the site-visit will be noted in the solicitation. Vendors are required to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov to be considered for award. A 20% Bid Bond is required and 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required after award.
