Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSAL WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Spectrumedix LLC, 2124 Old Gatesburg Road, State College, PA.,16803, to continue to provide on-site SpectruCare Maintenance Agreement for a period of twelve (12) months on a Spectrumedix Capillary Sequencer, Model 19210, Serial Number 1026, NIH ID #01492136. The coverages consists of the Platinum Warranty Program: One Annual Planned Maintenance visit, Full coverage of parts, labors and travel associated with remedial repair performed at either the Annual Planned Maintenance Check of the 19210 series instrument or any time during the period of this agreement. Operational and analytical software upgrades and telephone access to SpectruMedix technical and application support groups, are to be provided at no additional charge. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures, and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), is 811219 and Standard Size is $6.0 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement. Responses to this announcement, referencing synopsis number NHLBI-PS-2005-128 may be submitted to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, Building RKL2, Room 6143, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892-7902, Attention Deborah Coulter, Purchasing Agent. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
