- This Pallid Bat habitat assessment is a one-year study, with two optional years, to determine roost and home range characteristics of the Pallid Bat on the west slope of the Plumas National Forest. This data will assist managers in identifying mitigations or designing projects that will minimize impacts to Pallid Bats on the Forest. This habitat assessment is expected to help facilitate the implementation of the Herger Feinstein Quincy Library Group Forest Recovery Act. The contractor?s proposal should be broken into phases with a full explanation of the technology to be used in each phase: Phase 1- Locate bat roosts within the study area with the highest potential for roosting Pallid Bats. Phase 2 - Determine which of the roosts contain Pallid bats. Phase 3 - Catch and track Pallid bats to determine roosts and home ranges. Option Years 1 and 2- Catch and track Pallid bats to determine roosts and home ranges. This solicitation will be available for electronic download on or around July 22, 2005.
