Description
The purpose of this market survey is to identify to the Government potential sources interested in this procurement as either the prime contractor or a subcontractor. The CE-LCMC Software Engineering Center (SEC) is responsible for providing life cyc le software engineering support for Mission Critical Defense Systems (MCDSs). The goals of the SEC are to: 1) provide Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) for systems both deployed and under development and 2) establish/maintain Post Production Software Support (PPSS) for fielded systems. This contract will establish the requirements for a level of effort base contract of up to one year, with two one year options, for the acquisition of systems engineering and software engineering services to support th e Battlespace Systems Support Directorate of the SEC. The contractor shall support the Joint Network Node  Network (JNN-N) Systems and associated equipment through the various phases of the system life cycle (to include both PDSS and PPSS). The JNN-N sys tems are to include, but are not limited to, the Joint Network Node (JNN), the Battalion Command Post Node (BnCPN), the Unit Hub (UH) and NETOPS components. The contractor shall also support the Base Band Node (BBN) and Single Shelter Switch (SSS) (and as sociated equipment) through PDSS. . The JNN-N, BBN, and SSS PDSS/PPSS entail a prompt response to identified software incident reports from the Army users to fulfill mission objectives. This support will consist of the resolution of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and implementation of Antivirus updates on a quarterly basis, as well as the correction of software defects/deficiencies/errors and the implementation of software refinements and enhancements to the operational and support sof tware for these systems. The contractor shall also be required to develop software transition plans for the supported systems, and setup/configure the PDSS/PPSS facilities required to support the systems. The Government owns software specifications/docum entation for any Government-developed software components. Vendor manuals are available for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software.
